Well folks, it seems like Wolverine’s powers can only go so far, because he’s starting to show a lack of ability to regenerate his hairline. Okay, that’s a lie, the real Wolverine never goes bald, ages really slow, and can grow back pretty much anything he loses.
Unfortunately for the guy who plays him in movies, but maybe fortunately for The Bald Army, real people don’t have those kind of powers, so Hugh Jackman seems to be losing some of his hair. Now don’t get worried ladies (like there’s any of you reading this site, there’s more dudes here than a…ummmm…hardware store?), the Les Miserable star isn’t going too bald, he’s just starting to see a little recession in his hairline.
It’s actually really hard to tell that it’s even happening, but you can see the loss in recent set photos from The Wolverine, where he’s starting to look a bit like a balding long shore fisherman. Compared to his older photos, you can tell that his hairline is a bit more rounded back than it used to be; it used to be almost straight across. Like I said, the difference isn’t huge, but it is a sign that Jackman is finally starting to age like the rest of us.
So do I think he’s going to go completely bald any time soon? Probably not; it took him this long just to start losing the tiny bit of hair he’s lost so far, so it’ll be a long time before he actually starts to really lose it all. When it finally starts to come out, I don’t think that he’ll get a hair system or a hair transplant, as he seems more like the kind of guy who would take hair loss as a challenge to his acting skills. He’d probably be excited about the wigs he could wear for movies and the older roles he could pull off; he’d handle it similarly to the way John Malkovich does. So with that said, I’m looking forward to someday having Hugh Jackman in The Bald Army Although it’s almost a guarantee that I will insist on calling him Wolverine.
